Our Children's House Program provides a peaceful, carefully prepared environment where each child is respected and supported in their natural development. Built on the principles of Montessori education, the classroom invites children into purposeful work that develops concentration, coordination, and a deep sense of inner satisfaction. Here, learning is given time to unfold at each child’s pace as they follow their curiosity and engage with hands-on materials designed for purposeful discovery.
For the children
Led by an AMI-trained guide, our small group gives children the steady attention that is difficult to offer in a larger classroom. This allows the guide to observe carefully, respond thoughtfully, and support each child’s growing confidence and independence. With specialized training for ages 0-6, our guide brings years of experience in authentic Montessori practice and early childhood development.
Children spend a meaningful part of each day outdoors, where our beautiful garden and age-appropriate playground extend the classroom beyond four walls. Through caring for plants, observing seasonal changes, and simply enjoying unhurried time in nature, they develop a lasting connection to the natural world.
For the families
At Sequoia Montessori, families become part of a small, intentional community where relationships matter. Parents get to know one another, stay connected with their child’s guide, and feel part of school life. We are creating a place of warmth, respect, and trust, where every child is surrounded by adults and families who care deeply about their growth.
