A place where parents learn with their children

Montessori Together

We have created a space where parents and children learn together, side by side. In this six-week session, parents explore the principles of Montessori pedagogy and how to bring them into daily life, while children learn through movement, choice, and hands-on materials in a carefully prepared environment.

Each week, we meet to dive more deeply into topics such as The Absorbent Mind, Sensitive Periods, Independence, and the Principles of Freedom and Discipline. Parents learn how to observe their children more closely and respond to their true developmental needs.

Before each class, you will receive a short brochure introducing the topic of the week. Then, in class, you will explore how to apply these Montessori principles in real life through observation, discussion, and hands-on practice with your child.

Throughout the course, parents are gently guided by two experienced Montessori Guides, creating a peaceful and supportive space for shared learning and growth.

For the children

For children, the Montessori Together class offers a peaceful and beautifully prepared space where they can explore freely and at their own pace. Surrounded by carefully selected Montessori materials suited to their developmental stage, children experience the joy of doing things independently and discovering through movement and hands-on work. They enjoy uninterrupted time to focus and build concentration, interact naturally with other children, and grow in confidence and curiosity within a calm and supportive environment.

For the caregivers

For adults, this is a rare opportunity to slow down, observe, and more deeply understand your child's development. Guided by two Montessori educators, parents and caregivers learn Montessori principles in action: how to respond with calm, support independence, and create balance between freedom and limits. They also connect with other parents, share experiences, and find encouragement and friendship in a like-minded community. Through discussion, reflection, and practice, adults not only learn about Montessori education, but also discover new ways to connect with, guide, and grow alongside their children.

Your Six Weeks of Discovery and Connection

Each session starts at 4pm and ends at 5.30pm

What happens during a 90-minute session?

Montessori Principle

Before each class, you will receive a short email introducing one important principle at the core of the Montessori approach, with a different principle for each class. When you come to class, you will be ready to observe and interact with your child through the lens of this idea. At the end of each class, we will have a short discussion about what you noticed and did with your child, and how this Montessori principle may have appeared in practice.

Circle Time & Songs

When you first come to class, there will be a circle time for everyone, with songs and movement activities. This time allows your child to settle into the environment and gives everyone a chance to come together as a community and interact a little bit.

Work Period

Next, we will have 40 minutes of uninterrupted time for your child to explore the environment and choose activities they would like to try. The guides will be moving around the room, supporting your child in their chosen work and guiding you as a parent.

Community Snack

At the end of the work period, the community will come together to share a simple snack. We see this as a wonderful way to bond as a group and to model respectful social interactions, what we call "Grace and Courtesy."

Parent Discussion / Child Play

At the end of the session, we will make time for a short adult discussion about the Montessori principle that was the theme of the day’s class. You will have a chance to share your observations of yourself and your child, and to connect the Montessori idea you explored to your interactions at home. We will be available to offer guidance and suggestions. During this time, your child may play outside or continue exploring the Montessori environment while you supervise and chat with our guides and other parents.
